To implement the proposed solution to data security on the cloud it must first be noted that while many companies recognize the security threat, they simultaneously fail to understand exactly why the information is vulnerable. With the simple act of implementing more advanced passwords for user information stored on the cloud within a company, the general security of that company’s cloud service increases immensely. Solutions such as this require that the company’s employees be informed of the security dangers and be shown what a properly created password looks like. Google has already begun this process by suggesting user passwords that are quite complex and randomized. This strategy can also be seen being put to use as websites and programs have more detailed requirements for creating passwords such as special characters and capitalized letters. As password complexity increases among all users of the cloud, the demand for breaking into that information becomes higher thus offering better security. The second component of this security has to do with a more complex solution that will require a higher level of detail in regard to implementation. As software develops for a higher security level they will have to be programmed into already existing cloud technology systems. This will cause companies to have to invest in the software and the installation process. For larger firms this investment is not an issue, but smaller companies may struggle with the decision. The importance of security is paramount in today’s world in which most information is stored online, therefore it will be important for all companies to implement these types of systems as they are developed. The third piece to understand for the implementation of cloud security is that security threats develop with technology, the level of defense must become increasingly sophisticated. Creating security measures for the cloud means securing the entire technology infrastructure of a company as a whole. If one part of a system is upgraded, and another left as it was, the system remains vulnerable. To truly enhance the security of the system, all aspects must be increased from a security standpoint so that the system is ready for any type of attack.
